Rock Farm Slane offers luxury ecotourism glamping & accommodation on the River Boyne between April and November for fun-packed holidays or private events.
We offer stays for everyone, from single travellers, couples and families visiting Slane, Newgrange (Bru Na Boinne), the River Boyne or The Boyne Valley, as well as those wanting to participate in adventure activities and large groups of up to 30 people.
We can also host weddings, celebrations and corporate events with Farm Tours, Group Activities, Hosted BBQs and other options.
The luxury eco campsite is nestled on a beautiful hillside overlooking Slane Castle, enclosed in a secret grove of parkland trees overlooking meadows and the demesne woodlands on the North bank of the River Boyne. The Glamping boasts quick access to the beautiful Boyne Meadow along the River Boyne and the Boyne Navigation Ramparts Walk below which will take you into Slane or along the river to Navan. The parkland surrounding the boutique campsite is a designated Natural Heritage Area and Special Area of Conservation and includes an interesting bird population (herons, cormorants, egrets) and a thriving population of Irish hares who are often seen leaping across the field on their way to neighbouring pasture or woodland.
If you are planning to stay in a group larger than 6 please contact us for details. We are delighted to create packages for you on request. Please note we do not accept any group bookings in August as we reserve this month for families.
The whole site is available to book for a minimum of 24 people. We also have the Lime House with 6 en-suite rooms for rent during the week and whole house rentals available at any time from 12 – 22 people from up to 5 different households.
Choose Your Stay
When away from home you still need your creature comforts. Our onsite self catering facilities provide everything you need to make it a home from home experience – with a few nice surprises along the way of course!
Central to the campsite you will find Le Shack. This is where our Toilets, Showers and Self Catering Kitchen Facilities can be found. While we call it Le Shack, it’s far from that…
The main part of Le Shack is our kitchen-dining area where we have created quite a homely space for you to prepare food, eat and relax. With a fully equipped kitchen, large fridge, gas hob, wash up area – you will find it to be a home from home – or later in the evening the place to be for the party proper!
Our Showers are gas heated offering lots of hot water for the morning or perhaps after an hours Kayaking on the River Boyne! Our toilets are in keeping with our Eco-tourism approach to the campsite and you may be surprised to find a compost loo or two in the block!

Read what our Guests have to say about us on UpFront
Stayed at Rock farm recently for my husbands birthday. We booked the entire site and invited friends and their children. We had a fantastic weekend and all who stayed complimented the location and the facilities. Some had never camped or glamped before and were blown away – words like “the best weekend of our life”.
My partner, six month-old daughter, and I stayed in Hazel Yurt for two nights as part of a wedding party. The yurt felt very private and was in a beautiful spot. It was lovely to hear the wind, birds, rain etc from outside while being cosy inside.
Rock Farm Rocks
Thanks so much Rock Farm, we had a fab time as part of our annual reunion for Groovefest. The kitchens were spotless and really well equipped. The camp kitchen was an easy social space and we had music and dancing overlooking the hollow with views of the Boyne… it was idyllic.
