Sunday 30th September Straw Fest

Straw Fest is a relatively new tradition of celebrating the bounty around the time of the Autumn Equinox at Rock Farm, in previous years, when we’ve had plenty of produce to share. Harvest festival at Rock Farm is a time of hard work and joy as we reap the rewards of months of careful growing of vegetables and fruit.

We celebrating that joy by sharing produce, song and film together to gather our thoughts and plans for the Winter ahead.

We look forward to sharing that experience with you!

About Conynghams and The Organic Farm

We are certified by The Organic Trust under the trading name Conynghams and are proud to include beef, pork, egg-laying poultry and horticulture under our organic licence.

We started farming in 2010 when we took on a lonely old farm known locally as the Rock, on the other side of the river from Slane Castle. We immediately threw ourselves into organic farming and have depended on the help and advice from good friends, neighbours (including the members of The Slane Food Circle) and other organic farmers from around the country and further afield; as well as the goodwill and enthusiasm of Wwoofers and other volunteers.

It is this enthusiasm and knowledge-sharing that has got us where we are today and we are massively grateful for that.

Farmer’s markets & Farm Shop

We hope to attend a Farmer’s Markets including more of our own on the farm and provide meat and veg boxes to our guests and the wider Slane area in partnership with The Slane Food Circle. Please see our Farm Shop for more details on our Slane Food Circle Hampers, Gift boxes and bags.
