Our cosy Shepherd’s Huts sleep 2 people and are furnished with: a dinky, highly-efficient wood-fired stove, additional furnishings, electric plugs and lamps, crisp white linen and bath towels. Their interiors are beautifully crafted with a large, king size bed mounted at the end of the cabin.
This is a cosy and romantic space perfect for two people or a couple sharing. During the Glamping season the huts are located on the Glamping meadow overlooking Slane Castle and the River Boyne.
During the winter season (Nov-March) they are moved up to beside Le Shack and the Hot Tub and are only shared with Swallow’s Nest, making them a peaceful retreat in the depths of the sleeping Boyne Valley countryside.

Clad in green corrugate and set on wheels, it captures the simple beauty of old-world glamping, while inside, thoughtful comforts create a warm and restful retreat for two. A king-size bed, crisp white linen, bath towels, soft lighting, electric plugs and a highly efficient wood-burning stove make it snug and inviting in every season. During the glamping season, Apple sits on the meadow overlooking Slane Castle and the River Boyne, while in winter it becomes a peaceful countryside hideaway.

Pine is a cosy and characterful Shepherd’s Hut, perfect for couples looking for a simple, romantic stay close to nature. This traditional wooden caravan on wheels, clad in green corrugate, is full of rustic charm and offers a warm, inviting space to switch off and unwind. Inside, a king-size bed, crisp white linen, bath towels, soft lighting, electric plugs and a highly efficient wood-burning stove create a comfortable and snug retreat throughout the year. During the glamping season, Pine sits on the meadow overlooking Slane Castle and the River Boyne, while in winter it moves beside Le Shack and the hot tub for a peaceful countryside escape. Cosy, calming and full of character, Pine is a beautiful base for a restful Rock Farm stay.
Swallow's Nest
Sleeps 2 + Cot Option | 1 Double Bed | Straw-Bale Cabin
Swallow’s Nest is a unique straw-bale cabin for two, tucked away in a peaceful corner of Rock Farm Slane. Built using barley straw grown on the farm, local clay and lime plaster, this beautifully crafted eco-cabin reflects the natural building methods at the heart of Rock Farm. Bright, warm and inviting, it features a large double bed with uninterrupted views across farmland and woodland, a private veranda, and its own bathroom and shower facilities. Thoughtful touches include an electric stove, tea and coffee facilities, and a quiet setting away from the main glamping area. A cot can also be provided, making it ideal for couples with a young child. Swallow’s Nest is a charming year-round escape immersed in nature.
