Where is Rock Farm Slane located?

Rock Farm Slane is located on the Slane Castle Estate in County Meath, less than an hour from Dublin and Dublin Airport. Set along the River Boyne, it offers a peaceful countryside escape within easy reach of the city.

For the easiest route, enter our Eircode C15 FNP4 into Google Maps or your preferred navigation app, which will guide you directly to Rock Farm. Please follow the signs for Rock Farm on arrival.

Yes, complimentary parking is available for guests staying at Rock Farm Slane.

Yes. Rock Farm is ideal for groups, whether you are planning a family gathering, hen party, wellness retreat, activity break, corporate retreat or wedding celebration.

What accommodation options are available?

Rock Farm offers a variety of accommodation including Lime House, River House, Swallow’s Nest, Shepherd’s Huts, Yurts and Bell Tents.

Weekend stays are typically based on a minimum two-night stay. Midweek options may vary depending on the accommodation and season.

Yes. Bedding and towels are provided in all accommodation.

Yes, Rock Farm is dog friendly. A small charge may apply and dogs should be kept on a lead around the farm. Please contact the team before booking.

What activities are available?

Activities vary throughout the year and can include SUP, kayaking, sauna experiences, farm tours, woodland walks, wellness sessions and seasonal activities.

Yes. Farm tours can be arranged and offer a fascinating insight into organic farming, sustainability, eco-building and life on a working farm.

Many activities are suitable for beginners. The team can advise on options for different ages and abilities.

Wellness

What wellness facilities are available?

Rock Farm offers a range of wellness experiences including sauna sessions, a natural pool, jacuzzi and outdoor relaxation spaces.

During the summer months, the sauna is located beside the River Boyne. At other times of year it operates beside the natural pool.

Weddings

What style of weddings do you host?

Rock Farm is best known for Barn Weddings, glamping weddings, outdoor ceremonies, intimate celebrations and festival-style wedding weekends.

Yes. Popular locations include beneath the Big Sycamore and within the beautiful natural surroundings of the farm.

For larger celebrations, dinner, speeches and dancing typically take place in the Hay Barn.

Yes. One of the unique features of Rock Farm is the ability for family and friends to stay on-site and enjoy a full wedding weekend experience.

Absolutely. Day Two celebrations are one of the most popular aspects of a Rock Farm wedding and can include brunches, BBQs, wellness experiences and activities.

Do you cater for hen parties?

Yes. Rock Farm is ideal for festival-style hens, wellness weekends and activity-based group escapes.

Yes. The team can help organise activities such as SUP, kayaking, yoga, wellness sessions, creative workshops and other experiences tailored to your group.

Food & Catering

What food options are available?

Guests can self-cater, arrange catering with us or discuss hosted food experiences including BBQs, pizza evenings and breakfasts & brunches, subject to minimum numbers.

Yes. The clay pizza oven is available for group experiences and pizza evenings.

Accommodation

Which accommodation is best for larger groups?

Larger groups may choose to take over all or part of the Glamping Village, including yurts, Bell Tents and Shepherd’s Huts, creating a fun and sociable festival-style experience with plenty of space to gather and be together. Lime House is the largest individual accommodation option and is particularly popular with families, wedding guests and group stays. 

Lime House is a great option for multi-generational family gatherings, offering spacious communal areas, comfortable bedrooms and easy access to the farm and activities. Families looking for a more adventurous stay may enjoy one of the yurts or a glamping experience, creating a fun and memorable countryside escape for both children and adults.

Swallow’s Nest and the Shepherd’s Huts are particularly popular with couples seeking a cosy countryside escape.

WiFi is available in key accommodation and communal areas.

School & Educational Visits

Do you offer school tours?

Yes. Depending on the age and interests of the group, activities can include guided farm tours, nature walks, SUP, kayaking and other outdoor experiences.  Educational visits can be arranged focusing on organic farming, sustainability, biodiversity, food production and eco-building. Please contact the team to discuss your group’s requirements.

Accessibility

Is Rock Farm wheelchair accessible?

Many areas of Rock Farm are accessible. Lime House is often the most suitable accommodation for guests with reduced mobility. Please discuss your requirements with the team before booking.

General

Can I organise my own activities during my stay?

Yes. Guests are welcome to organise their own activities in consultation with the Rock Farm team.

We recommend suitable outdoor clothing, comfortable footwear and swimwear if you plan to use the wellness facilities.
