Rock Farm Slane Glamping is a smaller scale offering working in harmony with the environment having minimal impact on the nature that surrounds it.
We provide a unique back to nature experience enabling you to enjoy the great outdoors without compromising on your creature comforts or indeed the integrity of the surrounding landscape.
Opens May to September annually.
Dexter Bell Tent
La Grande Tente
Tamworth Bell Tent
Bell Tent Village
Tamworth A is linked to Tamworth B with a small platform in between the two tents. This is ideal for a family stay or a friends get together stay.
When away from home you still need your creature comforts. Our onsite self catering facilities provide everything you need to make it a home from home experience – with a few nice surprises along the way of course!
Central to the campsite you will find Le Shack. This is where our Toilets, Showers and Self Catering Kitchen Facilities can be found. While we call it Le Shack, it’s far from that…
The main part of Le Shack is our kitchen-dining area where we have created quite a homely space for you to prepare food, eat and relax. With a fully equipped kitchen, large fridge, gas hob, wash up area – you will find it to be a home from home – or later in the evening the place to be for the party proper!
Our Showers are gas heated offering lots of hot water for the morning or perhaps after an hours Kayaking on the River Boyne! Our toilets are in keeping with our Eco-tourism approach to the campsite and you may be surprised to find a compost loo or two in the block!
Food & Dining
While we operate a self-catering campsite we are delighted to offer groups food packs which are one less thing to worry about and we will have ready for your arrival.

Farmer’s Market (Thursdays 10am to 2pm)
If you are staying on Thursdays from May to September, we have a Farmer’s Market in the Hay Barn (big Green Barn) opposite reception every Thursday 10am to 4pm. You can pre-order meat and veg from the farm and other select local produce via firstname.lastname@example.org for collection on Thursday to Saturday from the Hay Barn.
Kayaking & Rafting
We work with Boyne Valley Activities who are able to provide a great range of activities for guests. We request that these are prebooked directly with them and in advance (dependent on water levels in summer months).
The bell tent was very comfortable – we haven’t done ‘glamping’ before so the hot showers were very much appreciated. Highly recommended if you want the camping experience without having to pack up a tent/sleeping bag and the rest.
The tents were spotless and spacious and the full size beds were very comfortable. Came back after 2 nights feeling like we’d been out of the country for a week. Such a relaxing location and surrounded by nature. Can’t say enough good stuff.
Comfortable beds with linens and towels, and our own rechargeable lantern to guide us back to the tent at night. We didn’t need the stove on a humid August weekend, but it would make a cosy place to sleep outside of the summer season.
