Weddings FAQs
FAQs Rock Farm Weddings
Can we book a private viewing?
Yes – private wedding viewings are available by appointment and are the best way to
experience Rock Farm in person. You will have the chance to explore the ceremony and
celebration spaces, view the accommodation options, and get a feel for how your day could
unfold here.
What style of weddings do you host?
Rock Farm is known for beautifully bespoke weddings in nature, from fabulous Barn
Weddings and relaxed festival-style wedding weekends to glamping celebrations and
intimate gatherings. Couples choose Rock Farm for its unique mix of Irish country charm,
natural beauty and flexible spaces, creating weddings that feel personal, joyful and entirely
their own.
Can we have an outdoor ceremony?
Yes – outdoor ceremonies are one of the most special parts of a Rock Farm wedding.
Couples can choose from beautiful natural settings across the farm, including beneath the
Big Sycamore tree, in the Lime House gardens, or within the stretch tent on the glamping
site for a sheltered outdoor option. The outdoor ceremony space beneath the Big Sycamore
flows beautifully into the drinks reception, with guests gathering nearby at Le Shack, which
serves as a relaxed and memorable setting for post-ceremony drinks.
What happens if we plan an outdoor ceremony and the weather changes?
If you are hoping for an outdoor ceremony, we will keep a close eye on the forecast and
usually make a decision around three days before your wedding. We will always discuss this
with you before making any final call and will guide you based on what will give you and your
guests the best possible experience on the day.
Can we have a civil ceremony or civil partnership at Rock Farm?
Couples looking to host a civil ceremony or civil partnership at Rock Farm Slane would
need to contact the Meath County Council Registrar directly for pre-authorisation and
venue approval. We are happy to discuss the setting and options with you as part of the
planning process, but formal approval must be arranged directly with the Registrar.
Where does the dinner and dancing take place?
For larger celebrations, the Hay Barn is a much-loved setting for dinner and dancing, offering
the character of a true Barn Wedding in a beautiful countryside setting. Depending on the
style of your day, Rock Farm can also accommodate more intimate gatherings in other
spaces across the farm, creating a wedding that feels personal, relaxed and beautifully
connected to the landscape.
How many guests can you host?
Rock Farm can accommodate both intimate weddings and larger celebrations, depending on
the style and spaces you choose. Smaller weddings can be hosted in Lime House or as
glamping-led celebrations, while larger weddings can make full use of the Hay Barn and
wider farm setting. As each wedding is bespoke, the best approach is to get in touch with the
team to discuss your ideal guest numbers and preferred layout.
Can we book exclusive use?
Rock Farm offers private, bespoke wedding celebrations and can accommodate exclusiveuse depending on the package, guest numbers and spaces required. Many couples choose
Rock Farm because it creates a wonderfully immersive and private wedding atmosphere
across the venue and accommodation.
Do you offer accommodation?
Yes – one of the things couples love most about Rock Farm is the chance to turn their
wedding into a full shared experience, with on-site accommodation for family and friends.
We offer a mix of glamping and unique farm stays, including yurts, Shepherd’s Huts, Bell
Tents, the Lime House, River House and Swallow’s Nest, with additional accommodation
options nearby if needed. Swallow’s Nest is often a lovely option for the couple on the night
of the wedding.
Are you pet friendly?
Yes – Rock Farm is pet friendly. We do charge a small fee per pet, and we ask that pets are
kept on a lead while around the property. We also recommend bringing a cage or kennel for
them to sleep in.
Can we have a day two?
Absolutely. Rock Farm is especially suited to wedding weekends, and day two is often one
of the most memorable parts of the celebration. Whether you are planning a relaxed brunch,
a barbecue, time together on the farm, or additional activities such as kayaking, yoga or
wellness experiences, the setting allows you to continue the celebration in a more laid-back
and connected way.
Can you accommodate pre and post-wedding celebrations?
Yes – we can. Rock Farm is ideal for wedding weekends, and we can help you host
additional celebrations before or after the main event, whether that is a welcome gathering,
rehearsal-style evening, day two brunch, barbecue or relaxed drinks with family and friends.
Is catering provided?
Yes – all wedding catering is provided on site by the Rock Farm team. Menus can be tailored
to suit the style of your celebration, with options ranging from relaxed barbecue-style feasts
and sharing-style dining to more formal wedding menus, including vegetarian and vegan
options.
Can we bring in our own catering or food trucks?
No – we have an in-house catering team who operate across the venue and would be
delighted to help create a personalised menu to suit your wedding and any additional
celebrations.
Do you have a wedding planner who can organise the day for us?
While Rock Farm does not provide a standalone external wedding planner service, every
couple is supported by a dedicated Wedding Coordinator throughout the planning process.
You will also have access to Moposa, our online wedding planning system, along with
planning meetings, guidance and supplier recommendations. If you would like additional
planning support or styling, we can also recommend trusted local wedding planners and
suppliers.
Is there parking available?
Yes – there is plenty of free parking on site, and parking attendants are provided on the day
to help guide guests.
How does pricing work?
Every wedding at Rock Farm is bespoke, so pricing is tailored to your guest numbers,
chosen spaces, accommodation and catering requirements. Whether you are planning an
intimate celebration, a Barn Wedding, or a full wedding weekend, we will prepare a
personalised proposal based on the style and scale of your day.
