St. Patrick’s Day Farmers Market

We are delighted to announce that our weekly Farmers Market is back for the season starting on St. Patrick’s Day, Thursday 17th March at 11am. Our Thursday Farmers Market is a buzzing hive of activity as local artisan producers and crafters converge on the Hay Barn with their delicious produce and crafts. It’s a perfect spot to grab a barista coffee or a delicious hot lunch with indoor and outdoor seating provided. New stands this year include Baska Bakery, an artisan micro bakery based in Oldcastle who specialise in naturally, slow fermented sourdough bread without use of industrial additives or chemicals. Our favourites return including The Cider Mill, Lu’s Indian Street Foods, Bee Natural, Lus Aromatherapy, Sophie Hunter Millinery, CnS Imagery and Plenitude Ferments to name a few of our stall holders. We have been busy on the farm and our own stall will include its tempting stock of organic meats, eggs and vegetables. The Farmers Market normally runs from 11am to 4pm very Thursday but the St. Patrick’s Day market opens as usual at 11am but finishes early at 2pm so everyone had time to join in the festivities in Slane Village with their street festival and parade. Remember when you visit, bring the wellies/ walking shoes and enjoy our signposted walking trail around Rock Farm free of charge.
