Campsite & Facilities assistant role:
Rock Farm Slane are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, hands-on campsite & facilities assistant that is interested in learning the workings of an ecotourism operation.
This position will suit someone who loves the outdoors and has an interest in tourism/hospitality.
This position will be covered by several operators and we will be able to offer flexible hours including weekends. The weekends are our busiest days of the week especially during the Summer and as such days off during the week are given in lieu of weekend hours.
You will be reporting directly into the Campsite Management team and would be working as part of a fun and motivated team who are passionate about delivering top quality guest experiences.
Duties will include:
- Preparing firewood in accommodation and for campfires
- Cleaning and lighting the hot tubs/pizza ovens and tending to the fire
- Stocking up the firewood around the hot tub/pizza
- Assisting with setting up and taking down bell tents
- Waste management - emptying bins and the servicing of compost toilets
- Assist housekeeping – where required
- Mowing grass and weeding around the campsite
- Gardening and composting
- Assisting in related farm tasks
- Preparing activities such as electric bikes for guests
- Guest services - servicing client needs when required
Contract: This position is seasonal from the beginning of April until the end of October. That said, successful candidates may be considered for longer contracts as required by the business.
Salary: Will be dependent on experience and will be discussed during interview
